"Drive Faster!!!!!"

As the Triads become the largest organised crime syndicate in the world, Consul Han (Ma) addresses the World Court in Los Angeles with information that could expose their leader, only to be shot by an unknown assassin. As Lee (Chan) gives chase and Carter (Tucker) tries to help, they uncover a connection that will put them and Han's daughter Soo Yung (Zhang) in grave danger. Their investigation leads them to Paris and Han's connection to the Triads but this just puts them in a whole lot more trouble.

After six years of hardly any traffic at the cinema, the Rush Hour is about to start for a third time but can it still keep moving or is it still standing still?

Back in 1998, Hollywood and director Brett Ratner had the idea of bringing together Asia's biggest action star and one of Tinseltown's best up and coming comedic actors and it hit box office gold. Three years later in 2001 they repeated the same formula in Hong Kong and produced an even more successful sequel. Now six years on Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker return for another rush and it seems like they have never been away.

You know exactly what you are going to get with a 'Rush Hour' movie. Jackie Chan, even though he is now into his fifties, is going to supply the amazingly choreographed fight sequences and Chris Tucker is going to supply to quick one-liners and the put downs. Together the chemistry will be there and the two will make the film a lot more watchable than it should have been. The plots to all three of the movies are never going to grab the attention of the Award panels but it is Chan and Tucker that make these very watchable and amusing action movies.

Even though he is now in his early fifties, Jackie Chan is still the biggest name in action. The master of martial arts with a screen presence that is second to none, Jackie Chan is a superstar but his Hollywood journey has been a little hit and miss. 'The Tuxedo', 'The Medallion' and 'Around the World in 80 Days' all missed, big style but 'Shanghai Noon' and the 'Rush Hour' movies really brought him to the attention of Western, main stream cinema audiences. As Chief Inspector Lee, he returns to likeable Hong Kong police officer that is still trying to get more out of life than just his job but even after three movies he still hasn't really changed that much.

Chris Tucker's career has stalled since he became involved in the 'Rush Hour' franchise. Since 1998 he has only appeared in 'Rush Hour', 'Rush Hour 2' and now 'Rush Hour 3' and there has been many a rumour why but whatever it is, Chris Tucker really needs to do more than just play Detective James Carter. Anyone hoping for any real development of the character will be disappointed but Chris Tucker still brings his own unique approach to the character and the comedy of the piece. Add to this good performances from Hiroyuki Sanada as Triad hitman Kenji, Yvan Attal as Paris taxi driver George, Noémie Lenoir as Genevieve and Jingchu Zhang as Soo Yung and you have the right ingredients for a sequel, even though it would have been nice for our two leading men to have more love interests, like in the second movie.

With action sequences that will thrill you, chemistry between Chan and Tucker that will enthral you and the pair raising havoc in Paris, 'Rush Hour 3' is just as much fun as the rest of the franchise. While the story may only be a way of connecting the action sequences and a way of adding in more jokes, this is a 'Rush Hour' movie and fans of the series will love it because it delivers exactly what they want and that is fun.
