RUSH HOUR 2

Starring: Jackie Chan, Chris Tucker and Zhang Zi Yi

Director: Brett Ratner

Running time 93 mins

Available to rent on video or buy on DVD 26th December

Returning home to Hong Kong, Lee (Chan) promises to show Carter (Tucker) a good time, oriental style. The problem is that Lee cannot stop working long enough for either of them to do anything. When the US Embassy is bombed, the Triads come under suspicion and Lee tricks Carter into investigating his old nemesis, Ricky Tan the leader of a large Triad family. Things don’t go as planned and they both end up in more trouble than they bargained for.

Continuing straight on from the last movie, this is just more of the same but in this case it is not a bad thing. Chan and Tucker have a real affinity for each other, which works well on the big screen. Of course the action is turned up a notch or two from the first movie, with Jackie really letting lose with the chop-socky action. The beautiful Zhang Zi Yi plays the female henchman with some severity, making an excellent villianess. This is a sequel that does not disappoint and those of you who haven’t seen the first one can still enjoy this, as there is little reference to the first movie. Anyway Jackie Chan movies are always well worth watching.
