Episode 1
It's eight weeks since Guy stole the ambulance and drove to a literal cliffhanger ending with Mac and Martin in tow. Mac is now in a coma and is receiving a constant stream of admiring visitors while Guy is not coping too well with the fact that he's slept with his mother. She's not having a great time of it either with her office staff's constant ribbing. However, Martin is happy to have a new brother and he's now gone as far as kissing Karen's tongue!

Episode 2
Statham, when not drawing breasts upon his x-rays, is trying to make Joanna jealous with increasingly desperate pretend sexual exploits. Mac is back at work and, with no help from Guy, is causing Caroline grief as he can't remember the twenty minutes that they were an item. Meanwhile, Karen and Martin have moved on to the next level and she's wearing him out.

Episode 3
A documentary crew visits the hospital, exciting the creative juices in Alan and the bitter rivalry between Sue and Joanna. Meanwhile, a tape of Guy being "intimate" with his mother is now in the possession of Sue who plays merry havoc with his and Joanna's life. And is this the end for Angela as she falls for the charms of the director who's off to Toronto next week?

Episode 4
Guy's got problems, he's looking for a place to stay while fulfilling his community service. Martin is in need of some cash so acts as a life model at an art class attended by the soon-to-be-gobsmacked Sue. Statham is distraught at his parking space while Joanna might need glasses. Mac and Caroline's relationship is hotting up but could all that change as his ex-girlfriend joins the staff?

Episode 5
Dr. Statham enters politics but requires a voice coach and the use of a car with two loudhailers! Martin inadvertently becomes a pimp. Mac and Caroline get a little closer but Holly sticks her oar in with a little ginger surprise for Mac. Harriet and Lyndon manage to have a date despite Joanna's best attempts to sidetrack her with work. Guy is not exactly the best flatmate but is he there at the right time for Caroline?

Episode 6
Mac adjusts to his new role as a father while Caroline tries to make him jealous with Guy. Statham is rather pleased with himself for winning his radiologist's community weekly caption competition that does not please Joanna. She employs her vertically-challenged cousin to scare him but a trip to the incinerator is soon required. Martin pesters Joanna for knowledge of his dad and hires a detective to find him.

Episode 7
Sue does some detecting; Martin comes into some money; Statham and Joanna try to keep the incident with the stuffed heron secret; Caroline has to be cruel to be kind.

Episode 8
Demented dwarf killers Joanna and Dr Statham are amazed that they seem to have got away with their hideous crime so consider themselves above the law. Caroline gets no fewer than three proposals. Sue gives birth to an infant with a mane just as impressive as Mac's. Mac gets some bad news while Martin (and we the viewer) ends up with a strange sense of d�j� vu in the season's cliff-hanger ending.

When it comes to describing the hit comedy show 'Green Wing' you will struggle to find a definition but you have to say one thing, it is very funny.

Premiering in 2004, the first season of 'Green Wing' was as funny as it was bizarre. British comedy has always been a hotbed for surrealist humour. From the 'The Goon Show' to 'Monty Python's Flying Circus' to 'The League of Gentlemen' and 'The Mighty Boosh', the weird and wonderful has been a breeding ground for cult classics and fan favorites. Green Wing is definitely one of those series.

After leaving the first series with a cliffhanger (quite literally) and the second series picks up from that. Eight weeks later, Mac is in a coma. Guy is still reeling from discovering who is real mother is and the fact that he slept with her. Caroline is hoping that Mac remembers that he loves her when he wakes up from his coma. Dr. Statham is struggling to cope with his breakup with Joanna. Sue White is desperate to get pregnant and Mac is the man she has her eye on and Martin finally has a girlfriend.

The second series hits the ground running and then accelerates to a new level of laughter. The surrealist nature of the programme is increased tenfold but this for the most part is a good thing. It is Michelle Gomez's Sue White that is the even bizarre than ever but completely hilarious. The Scottish comedy actress is brilliant and while she might not be one of the main storyline characters, she steals every scene she is in. Mark Heap's Dr. Alan Statham is as outlandish and brilliant as ever. The way he gets revenge on Joanna is amazingly funny. The love triangle between Mac, Caroline and Guy continues and shows again what great comedic actors that Julian Rhind-Tutt, Tamsin Greig and Stephen Mangan are.

'Green Wing' is one of the best new British comedies to come along in a very long time. In an hour long format that is filled with surreal comedy, sight gags, parody and every other kind of comedic method of gaining laughs that you can think of. With an excellent ensemble cast that are really getting to know their characters, this is a show that has cult written all over it and one that you cannot help but enjoy.

Presented in 16x9 Widescreen with a Dolby Digital 5.1 soundtrack, 'Green Wing' has never looked or sounded so good.

Watch deleted scenes from all of the episodes but unfortunately they have not included an introduction or a commentary track to reveal why these extremely funny scenes have been removed. There are some classic scenes here, including more of Dr Statham and the brilliant Sue White.

OVERALL

With some extremely funny commentaries and a great making of� the DVD package for Green Wing series 2 is very good and one that fans will love. Roll on series three.
