After pulling off the biggest drug bust in DEA history, Agent Sean Vetter (Diesel) could rest easy knowing that Meno Lucero (Silva) was behind bars but when you take down one Mexican drug cartel there is always another waiting to take over their business. Enter Diablo, who is systematically wiping out all of Meno's connections, forging new allegiances and dealing with any possible future problems and that means Sean Vetter is a target.

After a string of hits for Vin Diesel, A Man Apart could be the first bump in the road on his journey to superstardom.

This is an extremely average movie where nothing really memorable happens and nothing really stands out. The plot is predictable and dull, the action is nothing more than a few extended shot outs and the dialogue is mainly Vin shouting at people.

Vin Diesel does hit best with the material and you really can't fault him for effort. He does have a great screen presence but this isn't enough to carry a film with this material. Of his supporting cast only Timothy Olyphant is recognisable and I can't remember which bit part I saw him playing last. The rest do there best with their time in the limelight but the movie is all about Diesel so their screen time is kept to a minimum.

A Man Apart does enough to keep you slightly entertained for its overlong 109-minute duration but you will forget about it as soon as it finishes. This is one for devout Vin Diesel fans only.
