THE WASH

Starring: Dr Dre, Snoop Dogg, George Wallace and Angell Conwell
Director: D.J. Pooh
Running Time: 96 mins
Certificate: 15

After been fired from Footlocker, Sean (Dre) asks his roommate Dee-Loc (Dogg) to get him a job at The Wash. After having an interview with carwash owner Mr Washington (Wallace), Sean is offered the manager's position and Dee-Loc thinks now that his friend is in charge he is in for an easy ride but he couldn't be more wrong.

This movie is awful. It is total over-indulgent crap that is just an excuse for self-promotion. Dr Dre and Snoop Dogg must have seen this as a chance to cash in on the loyalty of their fans and make a fast buck.

The plot is non-existent, most of the performances, especially Snoop who looks like he is reading his lines, are awful and worst of all the two leads don't even perform any of their music in the movie. It is so self-indulgent that the characters and the local radio station are both made out to be huge Snoop and Dre fans. Ok they might be trying to be actors and not rap artists but most fans would have liked to have seen the two of them perform together on the big screen instead of just hearing their songs on the soundtrack.

Even a cameo by Eminem cannot change that fact this is a movie that even die-hard fans would struggle to enjoy. If excessive bad language, poor acting and an uninteresting plot are your thing or you have to see anything that has Snoop or Dre in it, then you might get more out of this piece of dross than the rest of us.
