Ben Cronin (Bradford) had everything. He was a promising swimmer, had a chance of earning a scholarship to Stanstead and a girlfriend, Amy (Appleby) who loved him. This was until Madison Bell (Christensen) came into his life.

This movie is Fatal Attraction for the teen generation but fortunately there isn't any bunny boiling in this one.

Replacing Glen Close and Michael Douglas are upcoming and coming young actors Erika Christensen and Jesse Bell. Bell gives a good performance as the gilt ridden Ben, who's life has been turned upside down. He has good support from Shiri Appleby, who plays the innocent party really well but any one who watched the TV series Roswell already knew she could play that role in her sleep.

This is Erika Christensen's movie however, her Madison Bell may not be as memorable as Glen Close's character but it does show that she is living up to the potential she illustrated in Steven Soderbergh's Traffic. Her transformation from the sweet and innocent new girl to an obsessed psycho is the highlight of the movie.

The plot is very predictable, especially if you have seen the trailer, but the performances from the young cast more than make up for this shortcoming making the movie more watchable than it could have been.
