Answering an ad to appear on an Internet reality web-cast, Matt (Johnson), Emma (Regan), Charlie (Sky), Rex (Lemche) and Danny (O'Reilly) has to live in a remote house in the middle of nowhere for six months. With absolutely no contact with the outside world allows and confined to the compound at all times, none of the five can leave if they want to win $1 million.

An extreme version of Big Brother and Survivor, My Little Eye takes the Blair Witch approach to horror filmmaking but does nothing new with it.

The movie starts quite well as we get to know the chequered backgrounds of the characters and there are a few good 'jump' moments. Then it transcends into predictability and excessive violence that spoils the initial build up of suspense that had preceded it.

While the premise is quite inventive and topical with reality TV taking over the airwaves, the Digital Video approach never really hides the films low budget origins, as we know that the picture quality isn't as bad as it is in parts of this movie.

The relatively unknown cast do quite a good job, with Jennifer Sky and Laura Regan conveying fear particularly well throughout the movie but none of them can handle normal conversation dialogue without looking like they are trying too hard.

My Little Eye is quite an effective piece of suspense horror for the first hour but with its predictability and over reliance on gore during the movie's final act, the film never reaches the heights of horror greatness.
