Jimmy Neutron is by far, the most intelligence pupil at Retroville elementary school. He has invented the shrink ray, his own rocket ship, a jet pack built into his school bag and his own robot dog called Goddard. This may sound cool to everyone else, but to the rest of his class he is just a nerd. This all changes when aliens kidnap all the adults in Retroville and the kids turn to Jimmy to come up with a plan to get them back.

This is a great kids movie and is a roller coaster ride from start to finish.

The characters are very well realised, all having a certain amount of cuteness and individuality to make the movie very watchable for both kids and adults. Jimmy himself is an extremely good character and his two best friends provide some welcome comic relief. Patrick Stewart as the King of the Egg Worshipers makes a very funny villain.

While not on the same level technically as other computer generated offerings like Monsters, Inc and Shrek, the animation is still very good for a movie with a much smaller budget. It has it's own style, mixing realistic looking retro backgrounds with very cartoon-like characters.

This is much more of a kids movie than other CG efforts, but it still has some good in gags for the adults to laugh at while the young ones are enjoying the action. Coming from the people who bought us Ace Ventura, I didn't really expect much from this movie but I was pleasantly surprised at how much I started to enjoy the characters and the madcap situation they found themselves in.
