While clearing out his scientist father's basement, Zak (Bradford) finds a watch and innocently puts it in his pocket. While trying to impress Francesca (Garces) on their first date, Zak discovers that this is no ordinary watch. With one press of a button, the wearer is transported into "Hypertime" which means that they are moving so fast that everyone else seems to be standing still. The only problem is that top-secret government agency that has financed it wants it back with no witnesses.

When you see that this is a Nickelodeon produced movie you know what you are going to get, a decent family movie.

Directed by Star Trek actor/director Jonathan Frakes, this Sci-Fi High School action flick hits most of the buttons of its target lower teen audience. It has some good special effects for the Hypertime sequences, an attractive teen paring in Jesse Bradford and Paula Garces for the leads and a good villain in Michael Biehn, who makes a welcome return to form after the appalling Cherry Falls in 2000.

While the high concept story is nothing new, scientist father doesn't have enough time for his son, it is still decent entertainment for its intended audience and one that the parents can sit through without been too bored.
