Robert Martin (Evans) had never had any luck. When he gets through to the last group to win a dream holiday, he thinks that all might be changing. However, the news that he has not won sends him over the edge and he will now do anything to get that holiday he promised his family, even if it means using a gun.

If you go into this movie expecting a comedy, you will be sadly disappointed. It may have a few laughs but it is more of a social drama about the lack of hope for people on the breadline and how they want to better themselves by any means possible. This is quite a gritty drama that never really does enough to grab your attention. It should really have been a one off drama on Channel 4 or BBC 2 not a feature film. The performances are good and Lee Evans shows he could be more than just a comedian, but the script never really lets him show if that talent is really there.
