Starring the voices of: David Spade, John Goodman, Eartha Kitt and Patrick Warburton

Director: Mark Dindal

Running time: 78mins

17-year-old Emperor Kuzco (Spade) is the ruler of the known Aztec world. Totally obsessed with nothing but himself, he threatens to destroy a whole village so he can build himself a summer home, sacks his own advisor Yzma (Kitt) for doing her job too well and taking the emphasis away form him and throws old peasants out of the window just for putting him off his groove. The disgruntled Yzma, with the assistance of her loyal but dim-witted aide Kronk (Warburton), then plans revenge. Kill the emperor and take over the empire. All does not go to plan for instead of killing him, they turn him into a Llama. Kuzco now has only one course of action, to get the help of Pacha (Goodman) who happens to be the leader of the village he wants to destroy for his summer home.

What a totally unexpected pleasure this movie is. In a total change of direction for Disney, this is an all out comedy. This movie was originally going to be a standard Disney musical called Empire of the Sun, but the focus was changed half way through with hysterical results. For a movie aimed at kids, the humour hits home on all levels. It has laughs from start to finish, with Spade and Goodman making it an excellent comedy buddy movie. The highlight however is Warburton as Kronk, who steals the movie every time his character graces it.

I implore you to grab a kid, from off the street if you have to and watch this movie. It is just so funny.
