Dungeons & Dragons

Starring: Jason Whalin, Thora Birch, Marlon Wayans and Jeremy Irons

Director: Courtney Solomon

Running time: 107mins

The Queen of the Izmer (Birch) is under attack from the council of Mages, led by Profion (Irons) and she needs the red dragon wand to defeat the uprising. Enter Ridely (Whalin) and Snails (Wayans), two enterprising thieves, who really want to get there hands on it, not to save the empire but because of the huge ruby embedded in the staff.

For those of you expecting the big screen adventure of Hank, Bobby, Presto, Eric, Diane, Shelia and Uni as they battle the forces of Venger with the help of some magical weapons and cryptic clues from Dungeon Master, are going to be severely disappointed. Instead of basing the movie on the popular cartoon from the 1980s, they went back to the board game origins and came up with what can only be described as a big screen pantomime. Jeremy Irons gives a completely over the top performance that is that bad I wanted to shot "Oh no he isn't" every time he said he was something. What we are left with is an extremely disjointed movie with some truly appalling acting, story telling and special effects. "I' am a really great movie" "Oh no it isn't".
