Returning home to find her sister Jenna on the door step with a new baby and a heroin addiction, Maggie O'Connell (Basinger) invites them in, only to have her sister run out and leave her with the baby. Six years later, Cody has grown in a distant, thought to be autistic girl, who start to show amazing powers of healing. When her Mother returns with new husband Eric Stark (Sewell), wanting Cody back, Maggie is warned by a young girl called Cheri (Ricci) that they want her for a more sinister reason.

I can't be bothered writing anymore about this movie's plot because by the time I've finished this review you really won't want to see this movie. This has to be the worst movie I have seen in a long time. It has no redeeming features at all. The acting is over the top, the special effects are laughable and the story is a load of pro-religious propaganda. One hundred and ten minutes of pure unadulterated drivel. I laughed more in this movie than I did in many of comedy movies I watched in 2000 and it was supposed to be a horror movie. At one point Maggie is rescued from falling to her death by a familiar looking man with long hair and a beard, who then suddenly disappears. Please don't bother watching this movie, it is already in the running for the worst movie of the year 2001.
