Expert computer programmer Milo (Phillippe) plucked Stanford University, by multi-billionaire software mogul Gary Winston (Robbins). Bought in to help complete his Synapse operating system, Milo starts to get abit suspicious when every time he has a problem, Winston gives him a piece of code to solve it. When programmers start dying, Milo takes it on himself to investigate further.

This is another that tries to make computer programmers cooler than they actually are. It doesn't however go as far as Hackers did, but tries to glorify some that isn't as cool as everyone thinks. The movie does, however take a major swipe at Bill Gates and Microsoft by putting the question in your mind of how far a company or someone would go for a global monopoly. The script itself is well written, with the writer showing a good understanding of technical aspects of the business, but you are left with the feeling that it is just a movie that is having a dig at what they think Bill Gates and Microsoft could get up to, if left unchecked.
