Gwen Harrison (Zeta Jones) and Eddie Thomas (Cusack) are Hollywood's most enduring couple. Every one of their movies is an instant hit, making them like gold to the studio. The problem is that the golden couple are no more and divorce, affairs, mental breakdowns and attempted murder headlines now hit the press. Studio Boss Dave Kingman owns the rights to Eddie and Gwen's last movie, so he needs some positive publicity to promote it. Enter Lee Philips (Crystal), the man who promoted the couple before the break up, to put some Hollywood spin on the situation and make out that Eddie and Gwen are back together again, but that is easier said than done.

A stellar cast come together to bring you a movie that is hard not to like. Roberts, Cusack and Crystal, veterans of romantic comedies, bring charm and feeling to what could have been a very average film. It is Catherine Zeta Jones's performance as the spoilt Movie Star that really steals the show however, making you wonder if it is just good acting.

Delivering some good laughs and pleasantly taking the mickey out of the whole phoniness of the movie business, but if you really want to see a film that takes a satirical look at the industry however, watch State and Main. That aside, this is still a really good date movie that will leave a smile on face for a few hours afterward.
