After a year at college, Jim (Biggs), Kevin (Nicholas), Oz (Klein) and Finch (Thomas) return home for the summer. Still as sexually frustrated as ever, the four decide to hire a house by the lake giving them a chance to throw some parties, drink some beers and most importantly meet some girls. You see Jim has still never been with anyone else but Michelle (Alyson Hannigan) the Band Camp girl, Kevin is still not over Vicky (Tara Reid), Finch stills thinks he will never have a woman as good as Stifler's Mom and only Oz has found love with Heather (Mena Suvari). This summer could be the most important time of their young lives.

Not really a sequel but the next chapter in hopefully a very long book because if the gags can keep coming as this pace, I hope we get a franchise. American Pie returns for another slice of gross-out humour and shows the other teen-comedy pretenders how it is done.

Why it succeeds so well is because they have bought back the entire cast of the original and I mean entire cast, even all the background characters return and then it takes everything you enjoyed about the first one and takes it up a notch, creating one of those rarities, a sequel that surpasses the original. (You have to have seen the first movie though, as there are a lot of references.)

Eugene Levy as Jim's Dad again steals the movie every time he is on the screen but the credit has to go to the young cast, they really make the characters very believable, making you want to know what is going on in their lives.

This is laugh out loud comedy for people who like their humour very low brow but if you don't find at least one gag funny in the whole of this movie, you need to get yourself a new funny bone.
