WHAT LIES BENEATH

Starring: Harrison Ford and Michelle Pfeiffer

Director: Robert Zemeckis

Available to Rent on Video or Buy on DVD 17th September

When Claire (Pfeiffer) and Norman (Ford) Spencer's daughter leaves home for college, they are left alone for the first time in eighteen years. While Norman continues with his hectic work schedule, Claire is left at home alone to tend her garden. Her idyllic life suffers a dramatic change when she starts hearing voices in the house.

This is a good old-fashioned ghost movie, with director Robert Zemeckis (Forest Gump & Back to the Future) paying homage to the Alfred Hitchcock school of filmmaking. What he delivers is a great spine chiller that takes you down so many different routes, making you think you know what's coming next and then throwing you in another direction completely. The performances from the two leads are very good, as you'd expect from actors of their talents, making this a movie you can't afford to miss on the big screen. You'll never want to take a bath again.
