Ginger (voiced by Sawalha) is determined to help all of her friends escape from the cruel Mrs. Tweedy’s Chicken farm. Every escape plan has failed so far until from the skies falls Rocky (voiced by Gibson), an American rooster who holds the key to all of them escaping, teaching them how to fly.
Nick Park’s first feature length animation captures the heart the same way as his “Wallace & Gromit” shorts have done over the last few years. With his usual mix Yorkshire humour and homage’s to movies such as “The Great escape”, “Raider’s of the lost ark”, “Star Trek” and “Star Wars”, Park and his partner Peter Lord whip up a menagerie of classic visual and spoken gags with some truly stunning set pieces. It gives Toy Story a run for its money, but really only fails to surpass it because of its weaker supporting characters.
