Sony Pictures Home Entertainment (SPHE) will release the worldwide sensation ANGELS & DEMONS on DVD and Blu-ray Disc™ from 14 September 2009 in the UK.
The launch will coincide with the publication of Dan Brown's new novel THE LOST SYMBOL, the follow-up to his No.1 international phenomenon THE DA VINCI CODE. Published in the UK by Transworld Publishers, a division of The Random House Group, the novel will be available from September 15th 2009.

Synopsis
The world ended with no warning, and all that was left … was hope. The Cylons were created by the people of the Twelve Colonies. Intelligent robots, they were used as slaves and soldiers to fight humanity's wars. But the Cylons became sentient and they rebelled. Man and machine fought to a bloody stalemate, and then the Cylons withdrew to a remote region of space.
A truce between the Twelve Colonies and the Cylons lasted for 40 tense and silent years. Each year, on the anniversary of the treaty-signing, humanity sent an envoy to the neutral ground of Armistice Station to meet with a Cylon envoy. For 39 years, no Cylon envoy came. Then, on the 40th anniversary, a stunning blonde — a Cylon in human form — met the human envoy … moments before the Cylons vaporized the station and launched a genocidal attack on the Twelve Colonies. In one devastating day, billions of human lives were consumed by nuclear fires. Only those souls fortunate enough to be aboard starships were able to band together and escape and flee into deep space, led by the sole surviving Colonial warship, the battlestar Galactica. The Galactica and its crew seemed to be unlikely saviors for humanity's fewer than 50,000 desperate survivors. The ship was old and had been about to be decommissioned and turned into a museum when the Cylon attack occurred. In the aftermath its commanding officer, William Adama, found himself responsible for safeguarding the last remnants of the human race.
Meanwhile, the annihilation of the Colonial government on Caprica resulted in the succession of Laura Roslin, the Secretary of Education, to the presidency. Synopsis
Sam Bell (Sam Rockwell) is nearing the end of his contract with the mining company, Lunar, for whom he has been a faithful employee for three long years. His home has been Sarang, a moon base where he has spent his days alone mining Helium 3, the precious gas that holds the key to solving Earth's energy crisis. Isolated and determined, Sam has followed the rules obediently and his time on the moon has been enlightening but uneventful. He does his job mechanically and spends most of his time dreaming of his imminent return to earth, his wife and young daughter. Finally he will have someone to talk to beyond “Gerty”, the base’s well-intentioned, but rather uncomplicated computer.
Two weeks shy of his departure from Sarang, Sam starts seeing and hearing things and when a routine extraction goes horribly wrong, he discovers that Lunar has its own plans for replacing him and that the new recruit is eerily familiar. Now Sam has to confront the discovery that the life he has created may not be his own.

The Blu-ray edition of TERMINATOR SALVATION features crystal clear picture, earth rattling sound and is packed with spectacular bonus features, including two behind the scenes featurettes, “Re-Forging the Future,” an exclusive look at the film’s production and “The Moto-Terminator,” a featurette revealing how the film’s visual effects crew and motorcycle manufacturer Ducati partnered to create the slick and deadly Moto-Terminators.
Also included on the Blu-ray release, Maximum Movie Mode, which allows viewers to see McG deconstructing key moments from the film, Picture In Picture (PiP) commentary with cast and crew interviews, storyboards, still galleries and timeline, plus eleven mini featurette focus points spotlighting how the ground-breaking special effects were created.
BD-Live features on the disc include: “Resist or be Terminated” Tech Com videos, featuring nine viral videos documenting the resistance campaign up to the theatrical release, plus four new videos and “The Final Resistance” video, in which viewers can access the secret plans of Skynet. CINECHAT enables movie fans chat live with friends around the world while viewing this, or any other CINECHAT-enabled Sony BD title.
TERMINATOR SALVATION was directed by acclaimed director McG (Charlie’s Angels 1 & 2). Joining Christian Bale in the visually breathtaking fight to save the human race is an all-star cast that includes Australian newcomer Sam Worthington (James Cameron’s Avatar), who was cast in the critical role of “Marcus Wright” after a personal recommendation from James Cameron, Bryce Dallas Howard (The Village), famed American hip-hop star Common (Wanted), rising young star Anton Yelchin (Star Trek) and Helena Bonham Carter (Harry Potter).
TERMINATOR SALVATION was produced by Moritz Borman (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines), Derek Anderson (After the Wedding), Victor Kubicek (After the Wedding) and Jeffrey Silver (300). It was co-written by the writing team of John D. Brancato and Michael Ferris (Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines, The Game). The film also co-stars Jane Alexander (The Ring), Moon Bloodgood (What Just Happened?) and Michael Ironside (Total Recall). The film was released internationally by Sony Pictures Releasing with a run time of approximately 114 minutes and has an expected rating of 12 (tbc) on DVD and Blu-ray.
Synopsis
John Connor (Bale) was fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.
